It's DIY template time!

Remember those fortune tellers we all used to fold up real fast at recess or during class when we were supposed to be paying attention?  (My mom isn't reading this, I hope....)... well, I tried a week or so ago to make one.. and couldn't.. I told my daughter I was too old to remember LOL!  Well.. Heather to the RESCUE!!!

Now I can go show my daughter how to do things and tell her Mommy's not too old.  Hahaha!

Snow Bunny

What is up with this weather anyway? We were lucky to get snow once a winter and now we have gotten snow at least 4 times and it is only mid-January! To “celebrate” this event I created “Snow Bunny”, a kit full of wintry snowflakes, blues, greens and cute bunnies to help you document your snow filled days.

How do you welcome in the new year?

Well, I have to admit, we are very boring people.  We aren't night owls, my family and me.  My husband and I usually struggle to keep our eyes up until midnight.  Then, we somehow stumble into our bed and fall asleep until we hear the pitter-patter of little feet bright and early the next morning.  We come by it honestly.  I don't remember ever having a babysitter on New Year's Eve when I was little. 

We like to have our fun on New Years' Day, when we're all rested & ready to start the day.  When I was growing up, New Year's Day meant "New Socks and Underwear Day."  My parents would load us into the car and we'd go to the local mall where we'd stock up on all the unmentionables our little hearts desired.  Now that I'm married, we still shop, but our focus is spending the gift cards we received as Christmas gifts.  We make a day of it.  After sleeping in, we head out.  Around lunch time, we'll make a family decision as to where we'd like to eat.  Then, head back out afterwards.  That night, we'll make homemade pizza and watch a movie together. 

I love the New Year.  It gives me warm fuzzies.  Lots of new beginnings for people- even if it is just new socks & undies.

New Years Resolutions for 2011

Hi everyone, Terra here to share my New Years Resolutions with you. I love ringing in a new year. Throughout most of the month of December I am anxiously looking forward to a fresh start in January. The new year feels like it is full of new opportunities and chances for change. This year I am making many resolutions. The most important is that I want to lose weight and get in shape as I believe this is important to be a good role model for healthy eating for my little boy. But I also have many digital scrapbooking resolutions.

In 2011, I want to make sure that I scrapbook for myself and my family in addition to CT commitments and portfolio challenges. I have to remember to enjoy this hobby and create pages that I will want to look back on for many years to come. I also want to use my digital scrapbooking stash and make sure that I am purchasing supplies that can be used more than once. Finally, I am determined to try to create more original pages without relying on templates all of the time.

What are your New Years Resolutions? Do you have any tips on how to stick to them?
